The calm before the storm

With my hand in your hand, for our promise land, those promises were kept.
Over the courses of our lives, I was getting low, you were getting high, one fine day, you simply left.

So here I am, I feel you, I feel your pain. I shall remember you and your name.
I see you leaving. I am not moving, I am staying with the blame.

But I, I wont stop you. You shall be gone, gone without remorse.
I don’t care if it’s getting worse.
See the calm before the storm, safely harbor, I am on my own, 

When it’s all done, and if I’m not dead, I’ll lay here dying, painful and so slow.
And then, would you end it for me, with the sharpest arrow from your quiver, that is all I want to know.
