My Ashes

I had dreams I had hopes
I was almost there, I was so close.

This welcoming land, the sight so homely
Away for all these years, I felt so lonely.

A promising glimpse of my life, my passion, and my interest
But here I am, in peace my eternal rest.

A note I left, I want you to remember
Me? I’ll be gone with the ember.

I’ll leave in silence, I had so much to say.
I chose this life, at times I wanted out, but not this way.

This note was found at site of plane crash in Kathmandu. A passenger plane carrying 71 from Bangladesh crashed and burst into flames as it landed in Kathmandu.

  1. Your words are so poignant, yet truly inspiring. This is one of the best poems I have read since my return to blogging. It touched me in so many ways.

Hope you are well. Haven’t seen you in a few days. Wishing you all of the best my talented friend.

    1. Hi Andrew, I am so thankful for this wonderful comment. One of the best poems you say, I am truly honored. This was the best praise I’ve ever received for my work. I could not have asked for more. Means so much.

Thank you for noticing my absence. I hope you are doing well. I needed a break. I only had depressing stories so I decided not to post them. And I had promised myself to make a new song and share it with my followers before I made such posts. I am almost done there.

Thank you my friend. I appreciate everything.
Wishing you a peaceful night’s rest.

    1. You are so kind and honest. I did miss those words. It’s okay. It isnt a big deal. It happens with me too. So here is my advance apology. Just thinking a step ahead πŸ™‚

Thank you for that wonderful comment. I needed that. Actually I was taking my time off. I have refrained from writing. Poetry lingers but I am doing my best to avoid. This was an exception. I am just taking a break. But it might be over soon. I dont know 😦

I want to try something new. What was that app that you recommended me? I want to try that. Paint and paint and paint I am in that mood πŸ™‚

      1. Yeah…we all take breaks, I think. Go to my what I’m painting with page. There’s a link to Corel. They let You download and use their program for 30 days, I think. I’ve done it with a few of their programs. It’s very fun. Happy Painting!!! And if You have a pad and pen for Your computer, great. If not….I actually use my finger and “finger paint” on my computer just as often. It makes a more fun experience of just letting go.

And no worries! wordpress can be strange. Things seem to change sometimes and I truly have no idea if it’s something I’m doing. 🀣
