Eccentric Love (Collab)

Crossed legs in a pool of sparkling tears,
She waits for him to take her hands,
And pull her from the depths,
So she can all but drown

Caught within my seclusive moment and lost in between the intervals of time
Expressed through my poetry, written in these lines
I think of you my love, I dream of you, your scent lingers like perfectly aged wine
My question yields no answer, will our fate ever entwine?

You stand there with your necklace of sadness and tears of pearl.
Come to me, drown within me. I shall take them all.
Those scars speak of vicious maul.
Melt now into these arms, worry not about the fall.

Suspended in an atmosphere of doubt,
His words echo in the darkness.
Quiet responses drip golden residue
As she reaches for his heart.
Floating in a sea of upside down people
With backward, wall-mounted heads,

She called out, fearing for her life,
And in a flash, he was there to help.
Wrapped safely in his sweet words,
She collapsed under the weight of her thoughts.

This is another collab I did with  (SUGAR AND BLACKBERRIES)

  1. This is really beautiful! You got some great lines in here: “lost in between the intervals of time”; “necklace of sadness and tears of pearl”; “As she reaches for his heart.
Floating in a sea of upside down people” Great piece!

    1. Hi Andrew. Initially, this wasn’t meant to be a collab. We used these stanzas in our conversations. I thought it wouldn’t be fair just leaving them there. So, I tried to arrange them and here it is. 🙂

      1. haha are you kidding me?? I can do that to you, to that person who writes novels. You are so humble and so kind. You have been giving me so much of motivation. Looks like I’ll always be in your debt. I’ll try paying them in installments. 🙂

  3. Beautiful poetic collaboration!… The atmosphere is so well depicted… and feelings seems to pull her down… until he shows up and saves her… I love it! ❤ Thank you… All the best! 🙂

  4. Once again very beautiful! “Come to me, drown within me. I shall take them all.” loved this line……how do you collab in poetry? I mean do you write together, or you write separately and then bring it together? Just curious…..as I feel it is not easy doing so when it comes to passionate poetry such as this.

    1. First I want to thank you for giving it such a nice read, and leaving this comment after that.
Last time I did a collab, it was with Graci, she came with the idea. she also had a picture that she took. and with a little briefing, It was done.
This time, this wasnt supposed to be a collab. We were just exchanging these lines in our conversation. There are many other lines. We picked a few of our lines to paint this beautiful story. 🙂
